Many of you will know Segovia for its Roman aqueduct, which dates back to the 1st century AD and is considered one of the most significant engineering works of the Roman Empire. But you will be equally in awe of its Alcázar a medieval fortress/palace and UNESCO World Heritage Site that sits on top of a hill and offers stunning views of the city. The Alcázar is considered one of the most important examples of Mudéjar architecture in Spain. The Segovia Cathedral, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered one of the most important religious buildings in Spain and it is renowned for its impressive architecture.
