Picture a 40, 60, 80, or even 100km day cycling in the backdrop of stunning mountains, sometimes snow-capped or skirted with golden, yellow broom against big cerulean blue skies.

You decide to tackle our flagship pro-Vuelta climb and epic descent of the Peña Negra; 11kms of climbing and 17kms descent on a 1000 m vertical - breathtaking! All this on beautiful, quiet roads dotted with pristine Castilian villages, still steeped in tradition and untouched by mass tourism.

You finish your exhilarating ride and kick back with a drink to celebrate your day's cycling achievements with your tour partner(s) while still enjoying the beautiful view from our boutique partner hotel. Maybe today is Spa day, great! Just across from the hotel, you can soak your tired muscles in Aguas de Gredos, a well-appointed rural Spa that is a surprise in this village of 400 people.

Now it's time for dinner, but don't think small means unsophisticated. Chef Roberto Garcia and his staff will delight your senses with an award-winning meal. Your exploration of the region continues, this time on your plate and in your wine glass (no pedalling required - thankfully). After dinner, you take your coffee, tea, or drink to the cozy lounge or scenic terrace to watch the sunset over the mountains. Maybe it's a clear night and ideal for stargazing. Gredos is a certified Dark Sky destination and low and behold, our chef Roberto is also a keen guide and happens to have a powerful telescope in the ceiling dome of the hotel - purpose-built by the previous owners for exploring these spectacular skies.
